  • Overview

    Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of Program Manager. This position will be in Northern VA with local travel to Fort Belvoir. The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide expertise and guidance for project leadership, including defining the projects objectives, overseeing quality control throughout the project life cycle, and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver the project according to plan.  The Program Manager plays a key role in client relations, working as the primary point of contact. Key to the success of this position is the successful delivery of projects and effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status.

    CLEARANCE: Active Secret or National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Implement client’s strategy to consolidate application support across the client’s application database, application, web, and non-enterprise support into a single branch.

    • Lead projects that involve the successful management of teams composed of data processing and other information management professionals who have been involved in analysis, design, integration, testing, documenting, converting, extending, and implementing automated information and/or telecommunications system.
    • Perform day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations.
    • Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of all contract support activities. 
    • Demonstrates written and oral communication skills.
    • Develop and maintain the implementation strategy and timeline for the Enterprise Application Support.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of required deliverables and ensure time delivery.

    Qualifications

    Experience and Education:

    • BS or BA or four (4) additional years of relevant experience.
    • 5 years of Program Management experience.
    • 10 years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields.
    • Experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones.
    • Experience in analyzing a variety of source documentation and supporting the creation of acquisition documentation.
    • Project or Program Management certification (PMP certification or other equivalent/recognized Project or Program Management certification); Project or Program Management certifications from accredited institutions (Examples from government and commercial sources include, but are not limited to the Defense Acquisition University, The Program Management Institute, Department of Veterans Affairs as well as Universities and Colleges).
