Cloud Engineer SME/Geospatial

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, innovative individual to fill the role of Cloud Engineer with Subject Matter Expertise in GEOINT data.  The candidate will provide cloud and geospatial technology services and guidance for a government client.  The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing technical analysis, design and guidance to support the successful delivery of the Cloud services and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting system environment status. The place of performance for this contract is onsite in Suitland, MD.

• Provision, configure, optimize, and maintain the AWS Infrastructure As A Service (IaaS) elements, such as Cloud Watch, Guard Duty, Config, Security Hub, Transit Gateway, Virtual Private Network (AWS VPN), Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) and Kinesis.
• Provide support for license subscriptions compatible with data governance, data linage and data-centric security software, as well as i2 and Cognos Analytics.
• Support geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) data within AWS UC2S, SC2S and TSC2S.
• Develop and maintain i2Group Analyst Notebook Premium (ANBP) Plugins via the i2Group ANBP Developer Toolkit in Microsoft C# that integrate with i2Group Enterprise Insight Analysis (EIA) and IBM Identity Insight.
• Develop, maintain, and support production large scale i2Group EIA and IBM Identity Insight (i.e., 500M+ entities and links) deployments.
• Integrate services into the AWS architecture and optimize database queries.
• Integrate i2Group EIA with ESRI ArcGIS to support interactive geospatial and temporal queries of EIA information store holdings.
• Manage and control configuration and changes to the system.
• Maintain steady state operations and provide maintenance when industry standards are indicated, as upgrades and updates to systems are required, as warranty specifies, as program requirements are changed, and as security indicates.

• Associates Degree or higher in Information Technology/Cyber Security field and/or minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience with AWS Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS).
• Experience with information systems in a Classified environment.
• Experience with Geospatial intelligence.
• A+, Security+, CASP+, or CISSP certification (or comparable certification) required.
