Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of an Sr. Business Analyst for one of our clients.  The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress.  Primary work location is Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business unit leaders, subject matter experts, and end-users. Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to understand customer satisfaction and convert the analysis into actionable plans.
  • Gather high-level data from stakeholders and guide new requests through the initiation process.
  • Develop capture plans and strategies that meet business objectives and align with organizational goals. Identify win themes, discriminators, and key value propositions.
  • Analyze solutions to report on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Identify and assess risks, ensuring potential impacts are minimized. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans as needed.
  • Manage the requirements process within established timelines and budgets. Coordinate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are integrated into project plans.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to assess solution options and validate the ability to meet business needs.
  • Continuously refine solutions, processes, tools, and methodologies based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
  • Foster positive relationships with business unit clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Provide training and support to business units on processes for OCIO solutions, documentation, and best practices.
  • Establish a feedback loop with business units to continuously improve communications and performance management and address evolving needs.

Responsible for the following deliverables:

  • A comprehensive plan outlining the strategy and approach to meet business objectives and align with organizational goals.
  • Periodic reports providing an overview of the progress made in the capture management process, including metrics and stakeholder feedback.
  • A documented assessment of risks associated with the capture process and active efforts along with identified mitigation strategies.
  • Collected feedback from business units and stakeholders on the quality of customer relationship management and satisfaction of products and services.
  • Documentation of communication and collaboration efforts with business units, stakeholders.
  • A compilation of lessons learned, along with recommendations for process improvement as requested by the COR

Qualifications

  • Must have a strong AWS Cloud background.
  • BS degree or higher in an IT-related field.
  • 8 years of experience.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Strong experience with PMBOK (specifically processes and procedures (ITIL)).
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred.
  • Able to perform senior level strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
