SALARY RANGE: $60K - $80K

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Software Tester for one of our clients.  The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress.

• Responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through comprehensive manual testing which includes functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, integration testing, and 508 compliance testing
• Provide expertise in the planning, constructing and execution of test scripts.
• Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall test objectives.
• Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable.
• Track defects to closure and keep defect repository up-to-date.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team.  
• Perform regression testing to ensure new code doesn't introduce new defects
• May provide knowledge in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts or in translating business process needs into technical requirements.
• Uses available computer systems resources and personnel to carry out analysis to support management's quest for performance improvement to determine the most useful business solution.
• May implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress.
• May determine and document user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects.
• May review and analyze information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes and procedures.
• May provide expertise in, but not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis and Technical Analysis.

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
• Manual Testing skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to work independently, with minimal oversight.
• Able to develop strong client relationships.
