SALARY RANGE: $160K - $180K
HIGH END OF THE SALARY RANGE IS CONSIDERED FOR THOSE WHO EXCEED QUALIFICATIONS IN A REQUIRED AREA

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a DevOps Engineer for one of our clients.  The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress.

• Manages application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development & administration for multiple teams.
• Design & implement continuous delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
• Responsible for code repository management, code merge & quality checks, continuous integration, & automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, Selenium.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred) or STEM 

• 4+ years of related experience

• Min. skills required:

  • 4+ years DevOps/DevSesOps with proven background in bringing best practices in CI/CD pipelines and code automation.

  • Experience with CI/CD automation, testing automation, containerization (Dockery/Kubernettes), virtualization, and automation of compute and infrastrucuture.

  • 2+ years with cloud automation (AWS).

• Preferred skills:

  • Masters degree in STEM with education (not specifically the Masters education) in CS or Computer Networking or

  • 7+ years experience in DevOps, automation, cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines.

  • SAFe certified

  • Experience Working on a SAFe program

• Experience with approaches & tooling for automated build, delivery & release of software. Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.

  Knowledge of automation scripting using Python (preferred); helpful if you are comfortable using Powershell, Bash, Perl, or Ruby & familiar with hybrid networks & automated infrastructure, cloud infrastructure (Ansible, Terraform, cloud formation) & full stack development (Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, .NET with C#, Bootstrap, React, Angular, & also Elastic Search) will be helpful to ensuring that you can provide support and SME advice.

• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to work independently, with minimal oversight.
