SALARY IS DEPENDENT UPON THE CANDIDATE’S SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
SALARY RANGE: $130K - $160K
HIGH END OF THE SALARY RANGE IS CONSIDERED FOR THOSE WHO EXCEED QUALIFICATIONS IN A REQUIRED AREA

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, innovative individual to fill the role of Full Stack Software Engineer.  The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing technical analysis, design and guidance to support the successful delivery of the project and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting system environment status. 

• Supporting the development of analytical apps where there is core expertise in one area (i.e., React or Java) with the ability to support development areas in other parts of the apps. React experience is preferrable.
• Creating unit tests leveraging frameworks like Jest
• Supporting the creation of the user story backlog, grooming the acceptance criteria, and estimating/sizing the stories to be pulled for each sprint
• Participating in design & creation of scalable software
• Writing clean, functional code on the front- and/or back-end
• Testing & fixing bugs or other coding issues

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology/Cyber Security or any related Technical field
• Minimum of 8 years overall experience
• Minimum of 5 years specific related experience
• Required Experience
  • Work within the development teams to ideate software solutions
  • Previous experience creating modern web-based apps that support the visualization of data
  • Write effective APIs
  • Create unit tests for developed code while mitigating code smells, security hotspots, and aligning with best code practices
  • Troubleshoot, debug & upgrade software
  • Experience with React with preferred background in Typescript
  • Experience with VSCode/Chrome development tools
• Top Secret with the ability to attain SCI/Poly requirement
• A+, Security+, CASP+, or CISSP certification (or comparable certification) required

Bonus points if you have::

• Previous consulting experience and understanding customer/business needs
• Experience leveraging CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Git/BitBucket, SonarQube
• Experience with Agile practices a plus  
• Experience with source control management (e.g., Git)
