Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed IT Project Lead to fill the role of a for one of our clients (FBI). The IT Project Lead is responsible for planning, initiating, and managing information technology (IT) projects. This role involves leading and guiding the work of technical staff, serving as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects, planning project stages, and assessing business implications for each stage. The IT Project Lead monitors progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.

• Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects from inception to completion.
• Lead and guide the work of technical staff, ensuring project goals and objectives are met.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Plan project stages, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Assess business implications for each stage of the project to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
• Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and management.

• Proven experience in managing IT projects.
• Requires BSc/Ba in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan and execute project stages effectively.
• Experience in monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to deadlines, standards, and cost targets.

Preferred Skills:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Knowledge of current IT trends and technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Certifications:

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Splunk Core Certified Power User.
• ITIL v4 Practice Manager (PM).
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
