Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Jr. Property Manager for an existing government client. The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide support coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver projects according to plan. Key to the success of this position is the effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data tracking and analysis for capital IT assets in a data center facility.
  • Supports desktop hardware for administrators and administrative staff, with an emphasis on network infrastructure components.
  • Reviews property accounts for each asset.
  • Support physical inventories, adjust variances, and reconciles discrepancies.
  • Capture data items at receiving; current location assignment throughout asset life and comparison analysis to tracking system data.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expedites removal of excess assets at end of life following DOD data sanitization policies, hazardous waste policies and NIH recycling procedures.
  • Provide property accountability information for all summary property report reviews.
  • Analyze computer-generated asset database daily to verify data accuracy and note trends and variances.
  • Support a variety of special audits and related property management projects.
  • Provide analytical support for a variety of administrative issues involving property/asset management.
  • Identified problem areas within the data.
  • Support the entry of data into the off-the-shelf database application.
  • Perform frequent analyses and comparisons of current and historical property data to confirm and observe data transactions across the organization.
  • Support audits of network/telecommunication.
  • Offered assistance in data collection and verification.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma with specialized training or higher level of education.
  • One to two years of directly related experience.
  • Must have experience in: data entry, and have strong organization skills.
  • Prior experience in property management desired.
  • Must be proficient in applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to lift and move network equipment as needed.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal to no oversight.
