SALARY RANGE: 130-155k

HIGH END OF THE SALARY RANGE IS CONSIDERED FOR THOSE WHO EXCEED QUALIFICATIONS IN A REQUIRED AREA

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Project Manager for one of our clients.  The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress.  Primary work location is on the Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee's all aspects of large-scale or complex projects, leading cross-functional teams and managing project segments with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and strategic alignment.
  • Leads and manges large or complex projects from initiation through delivery and develops innovative solutions to project challenges involving scheduling, technology, and financial management.
  • Provides requirements Analysis, Design, Coding, and Testing; Secure Code Management & Production Deployment.
  • Prioritize system requirements and mange development activities using Agile methodologies.
  • Provide long and short-term planning for application systems and support resources.
  • Oversee technical release processess through the development lifecycle.
  • Ensure reliability, flexibility, and availability of technical systems and sub-componenents.
  • Oversee system configuration changes with minimal service disruption.
  • Responsible for all aspects of a significant area of work, including policy formation and application, and fully accountable for actions taken and decisions made, both by self and subordinates.
  • Develops long-term strategic relationships with customers, partners, industry leaders and government.
  • Communicates the potential impact of emerging technologies on organizations and individuals, and assesses the risks of using or not using such technologies.
  •  Assesses the impact of legislation, and actively promotes compliance.
  • Takes the initiative to keep own and subordinates' skills up to date and to maintain an awareness of developments in IT.
  • Plan, conduct, and manage comprehensive testing to ensure production readiness and implement quality control and assurance practices.

Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years in project management.
  • Minimum of 10 years overall applicable experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale or complex IT projects.
  • Experience explaining and presenting complex technical ideas to both techncial and nontechnical audiences at all levels up to the highest in a persuasive and convincing manner.
  • Must have broad and deep IT knowledge, coupled with equivalent knowledge of activities/businesses and other organizations that employ IT.
  • Strong background in systems analysis, software development, and Agile methodolologies.
  • Experience with security planning, contingency operations, and secure code management.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, enterprise software, and modern web development.
  • Experience with application prototyping and multimedia software.
  • Knowledge of program evaluation and decision support software.
  • Knowledge of Web X.0 (2.0, 3.0 etc.) development
  • Experience with enterprise software implementation; database development and management.
  • Must be able to work independently, with little to no oversight.
  • Must have and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
