ONSITE - FRANCONIA/SPRINGFIELD, VA

 

Serve as a Sr. Administrator (Maximo, Azure, OpenShift) for our team, responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of IBM Maximo software solutions in support of user requirements and in compliance with department standards. Leverage industry-standard methodologies, including Agile and DevSecOps, to deliver scalable and secure systems within an Azure environment.

 

SALARY IS DEPENDENT UPON THE CANDIDATE’S SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
SALARY RANGE: 125-155k
HIGH END OF THE SALARY RANGE IS CONSIDERED FOR THOSE WHO EXCEED QUALIFICATIONS IN A REQUIRED AREA

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement secure enterprise software solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
  • Develop and maintain system integrations using Azure services and, when applicable, IBM Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
  • Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure and application components supporting the CMMS/IBM Maximo ecosystem on Azure.
  • Apply Agile and DevSecOps methodologies to support CI/CD pipelines in accordance with Department policies.
  • Manage IBM Maximo application development, including workflows, Cron Tasks, Application Designer, and user interface improvements.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting, system upgrades, and front-end enhancements to improve performance and usability.
  • Analyze user requirements and document all development activities thoroughly.
  • Ensure business workflows are accurately modeled and updated to reflect current processes.
  • Collaborate with CMMS Section Chief, CMMS Project Manager, Business Analysts, Change and Configuration Manager, Security, and Training personnel to ensure effective solution delivery.
  • Customize and enhance enterprise asset management systems, with IBM Maximo experience considered a strong plus.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in enterprise software development, focusing on scalable, secure applications is required. 
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure DevOps, and Azure VMs is required. 
  • Strong understanding and application of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies is required. 
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform) is highly desirable. 
  • Terraform and Ansible authoring experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of authentication and security protocols such as Okta and SPNEGO/Kerberos is highly desirable.
  • Experience with containerization (e.g. Azure Container Registry, Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift) is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Linux-based environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience with IBM Maximo 9 or IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9) and related components is desirable but not required.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104) and/or IBM Maximo certifications are a plus.
  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) experience is highly desirable.
  • Interim Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance
